Company receives highest product scores in Operational/Transactional Data Quality and Data Integration Use Cases
Wellesley Hills, Mass. – Dec. 14, 2016 – RedPoint Global Inc. (www.redpoint.net), a leading provider of data management and customer engagement technology, announced today that in the 2016 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Data Quality Tools report, RedPoint received the highest product scores in the Operational/Transactional Data Quality and Data Integration Use Cases; and second highest in Big Data and Analytics, Master Data Management, and Data Migration Use Cases. “Data quality is at the heart of the digital transformation impacting every organization today – without it, businesses can’t fully unlock value from their data,” said RedPoint Global CEO Dale Renner. “We provide users with the highest quality data across the enterprise through advanced data matching and identity resolution capabilities, and make it easy to integrate all data as it becomes available. Our code-free solution is accessible to all business users, enabling organizations to maximize the value of their data. We believe RedPoint is a data quality market leader because we understand what businesses need from their data quality products to succeed.”
Gartner defines operational/transactional data quality as “capabilities applied to controlling quality of data created by, maintained and housed within transactional applications. As data quality controls are increasingly applied upstream, close to the source of data, the ability to embed data quality capabilities closely with operational applications is key. This use case emphasizes the core data quality operations as well as the need for strong scalability and performance in the face of ever-increasing transaction volumes.”
Data integration, as it is identified in this report, refers to “capabilities applied within data integration processes and architectures (i.e. nondomain specific), in support of both analytics and operational integration.”
With RedPoint Data Management, organizations can access all data types from any source without requiring specialized coding skills such as MapReduce and Spark – reducing costs and increasing the speed at which organizations obtain critical insights. RedPoint Data Management’s data quality routines execute in an automated production flow inside any traditional database or big data/Hadoop environments, so organizations can perform data preparation without moving data. This reduces the latency between aggregating data and leveraging it in analytics, whether business intelligence, offline or real-time, to drive better and faster decisioning and therefore, results. Additionally, since RedPoint doesn’t require moving data out of Hadoop, data quality functions can be performed in near real-time whereas competitive solutions will take anywhere from 72 hours to two weeks to complete these functions.
The final list of vendors included in the report consists of 17 companies who qualified because, among other criteria, they maintain an installed base of at least 100 production, maintenance/subscription- paying customers for the data quality product(s) meeting the above functional criteria. The production customer base must include customers in more than one region (North America, Latin America, EMEA and Asia/Pacific).
